We had our first salad out of our garden tonight, the lettuce was so crisp and fresh and delicious! It was the perfect compliment to the spicy pulled pork tacos I made for dinner. Pork loin in the crockpot for about 6 hours with salsa, red pepper, garlic, cumin, salt, and a little onion. Served with home-fried taco shells, rice, and home made refried beans.

Everything in the garden is doing really well so far. Our strawberry is flowering, so are the blackberries and blueberries. The potato plants are nice and bushy. We have a volunteer pumpkin coming up out of the compost pile.

I've finally emerged from afghan hell, to embark on more exciting knitting projects. I am knitting a bag that I want to try felting when I am done with it. I've knitted so much today my fingers are feeling a little raw from the rough wool. Noro is great for the colors, but the wool is so rough and unevenly spun. I've ordered some Silk Garden through Yarn.com because it was about 50% off the regular price- a discontinued colorway. Can't wait for it to arrive, it looks so gorgeous!

Cycle two of ttc coming to a close and nothing. AF is due tomorrow and I know already we didn't get pregnant this month. I'm a bit disappointed, I really felt like this was our month. Oh well, more fun trying next month!
